As a teacher, you have the most important job in our country because you inspire people to think critically and have a positive impact on the world. Voices On The Economy (VOTE) is a Tucson-based, award-winning program that teaches educators to present diverse perspectives in a balanced and accurate way so that students can make up their own minds about what they believe and find their own voices on the issues.
Join us for a no-fee three-day conference based on the material in the free online textbook - Voices On The Economy: How Open-Minded Exploration of Rival Perspectives can Spark Solutions to Our Urgent Economic Problems, Vol. I. You will leave with presentations, activities, and lesson plans ready to use.
This is the three-day foundational conference for the entire VOTE Series. In addition, there are nine one-day workshops. No previous knowledge of economics is required. Appropriate for all subject areas and all levels of educators from middle school through university. Each of the three conference days will run from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm with a morning and afternoon break as well as 40 minutes for lunch. Attendees will earn a certificate for 18.0 hours of professional development.
