As a teacher, you have the most important job in our country because you inspire people to think critically and have a positive impact on the world. Voices On The Economy (VOTE) is a Tucson-based, award-winning program that teaches educators to present diverse perspectives in a balanced and accurate way so that students can make up their own minds about what they believe and find their own voices on the issues.
Join us for a no cost, one-day workshop that will delve into the issue of International Trade, looking at it from the Conservative, Liberal, and Radical perspectives. What are their different policy ideas? (Fair Trade? Free Trade? Trade Protections?) How does each perspective analyze the problem? Hands-on exercises will bring these ideas back to your classrooms.
No previous knowledge of economics is required. Appropriate for all subject areas and all levels of educators from middle school through university. Earn 7.0 hours of Professional Development.
