As a teacher, you have the most important job in our country because you inspire people to think critically and have a positive impact on the world. Voices On The Economy (VOTE) is a Tucson-based, award-winning program that teaches educators to present diverse perspectives in a fair, balanced, accurate way so that students can make up their own minds about what they believe and find their own voices on the issues.

Join us for a no-cost, one-day workshop that will delve into the issue of Immigration, looking at it from the Conservative, Liberal, and Radical perspectives. What are their different policy ideas? (Merit-based system? Pathway to citizenship? Comprehensive planned immigration?) How does each perspective analyze the problem? Hands-on exercises will bring the material alive, and we will provide you with lesson plans and other materials so you can take these ideas back to your classroom.

No previous knowledge of economics is required. Appropriate for all subject areas and levels of educators from middle school through university. You will earn a certificate for 7.0 hours of professional development.
